Commonlit is a free website of quality instructional materials to support literacy development for grades 5-12.
Newsela is a free website with a log in. Newsela contains current event articles which you can search by subject. Change the reading level of the same article for differentiation within your classroom. Some articles can be translated into Spanish.
Tween Tribune by the Smithsonian has great articles for teens. Select by Grade level or articles written in Spanish. Set up a class and assign articles for students to read, while differentiating the level of article for each student.
The Learning Network contains articles and lessons using The New York Times. Includes Article of the Day, quizzes, student contests, and more!
Read Works is a free source of curated non-fiction and literary articles. Includes lessons and assessments, based on cognitive science research.
Read Write Think is a great resource for free lessons on reading and language arts instruction.
